The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes and the improvement of our service.
These data are only collected anonymously and do not allow conclusions about your identity. A combination of the data with information from other databases is not made. Individual movement profiles or miscellaneous profiles are not created or saved with these data. Additional personal data is only collected if you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. as a part of an information request or a registration.
Use of cookies
Our websites use so-called cookies. They serve to make our service more user-friendly, effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are generated by a web server and saved on your device, such as notebook, PDA or Smartphone via the used web browser. They are assigned to individual websites and can strictly be written and read by these.
Their general purpose is to manage the status of a session by a web-based application. As an example a cookie can advise a web application that has already expired based on cookie related time values to ask for a renew login. Similarly, it is possible to identify whether the user has saved certain settings permanently on a portal, without the requirement for an online login. The corresponding values are saved and readout by a cookie whenever reentering the website. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies“. They are automatically deleted after your visit.
However, it is possible for virtually all browsers to disable cookies. Please note that the usability of certain services or the usability of the portal may be restricted and that certain services or parts of the portal just work properly in conjunction with the placement of cookies. The usage of cookies is necessary to sign up for the customer area at www.global-hotspot.com.
Collection of personal data
Personal data is specific information about personal or factual characteristics relating to a certain natural person or a natural person who can be specified. This includes information such as your real name, address, telephone number and date of birth. Information which cannot be directly linked to your real identity- such as favourite websites or number of users of a site- is not considered as personal data.
To protect your personal data from unauthorized access by third parties, we secure the relevant applications and data transmissions by using SSL (Secure Socket Layer). It is a standardized encryption method for online services, especially for the web. Links in our portal, which are protected by SSL, can be detected by the fact that the URL starts with “https://” instead of “http://”. In addition, a lock in form of an icon appears in the status bar of the browser, which indicates the activation of an encrypted connection.
If you register on the website, the following data will be saved:
1. User name and password, which are freely chosen by you. The password is not saved as plaintext, instead just a so called “hash value” is used.
2. Address data, which is necessary to generate proper invoices.
3. Email-address, which is especially necessary to fulfill our duty to inform you about changes of the General Terms of Conditions.
4. Phone numbers, which are used for the unique authentication of a customer during registration.

During an active session, this information is updated in a ten-minute interval. The interim information of closed sessions is deleted at the end of every day.

We are exclusively using your provided personal data for the technical administration of the website and to meet your wishes and requests - thus primarily for the fulfillment of the contract concluded with you.
